Today we’re launching a new report - Creating Culture Together - outlining practical solutions to post-Brexit barriers for the cultural and creative sectors.
And for you, along with every other Chair and Committee Member of our movement’s local groups, we are asking you to take a new kind of action.
We are asking local groups to write to their local press, using our pre-written letter and custom tool, to highlight the impact Brexit is having on music and the performing arts, and to encourage coverage of the practical proposals that could help UK and EU artists.

In the Novmber local groups newsletter we told you that we would soon ask local groups to re-confirm their details with us.
Every two years we ask local groups to re-confirm their details, and those of their committee members, with us in full. We do this because it helps us to...
It is important that ALL local groups complete the form, even if no contact details or personnel have changed recently. This so that we can get an accurate picture of the movement, in order to help you as effectively as possible, and make sure that we haven't missed anything!
In addition, this year's form has a few questions designed to find out what more we could be doing for local groups so the more information we get, the more we can do to strengthen the movement and to help you and your fellow local groups.
Please complete the form for your local group, or ensure that somebody else completes it, by 15 February 2026 at the latest . That is in just over 8 weeks.
The form should take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete.
It is important that ALL groups complete it so that they don't get marked as inactive or closed down in error. This would mean that your group would no longer being displayed on the local groups map and would lose access to the Grassroots Hub.
We know that admin requests like this can be tedious, and we apologise for any inconvenience caused by this exercise. However, doing this is the most effective way for us to get an accurate picture of the movement so that we can help you as effectively as possible. So we definitely appreciate your help.
Thank you, as always, for everything that you continue to do for the cause. Local groups like yours are the beating heart of the movement and we wouldn't be as strong as we are without you!
We're looking to update our collection of local group photos, and get some great new photos that we can use both on the Grassroots Hub and in emails that we send to members and supporters.
So please dig through your phones and your archives, and if you have any great photos of your group in action (campaigning or at events) then please send them to us.
You can either send them to [email protected] or use the new "send us your group photos" group which is part of this WhatsApp community.
A new feature on the Grassroots Hub, the Action Bar can be seen to the right hand side of many of the pages on the Hub.
It's designed to highlight the key things you need to know, and actions that you need to take, to re-enforce the other features and content available throughout the Grassroots Hub.
On the Action Bar you can find
If you have any questions about the Action Bar, or the Grassroots Hub in general, then e-mail [email protected] and we will be happy to help.
